What is Recovery Time for All-on-Four dental Implants?

Underline

For patients considering all-on-four dental implants as a replacement option for their missing natural teeth, they may be more concerned about the expected recovery time. Unlike most dental restoration procedures like dentures which are associated with low recovery times (approximately 3 months to 12 months), many patients who choose all-on-four dental implants are likely to go back to work or assume their daily routine in a couple of days after the procedure. The recovery period is much shorter because the implants are placed one shot and bond with your jaw bone.
The moment you leave the recovery room, your dentist will place gauze on the surgery site, which can be removed once the bleeding has stopped within an hour or less. On the same day or after the procedure, you should avoid anything that could irritate the tender areas of your mouth and use the prescribed medicated rinse to rinse your mouth off. One day after the procedure, you can carefully rinse off your mouth with salty water in case the bleeding persists.
It is recommended to avoid strenuous physical activity like raising your head too quickly, bending over, or lifting heavy objects for a week after the procedure. Be sure to eat soft foods for at least three to four days so that you do not irritate your mouth. It would help if you also avoided smoking because it will prolong or prevent healing.
